Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

by | Aug 26, 2016

Today marks the first general release of Hubscope and is a day for us to have a little celebration. A day that’s taken a while to get to but we’re really pleased with the result and hope that you will be too.

Thank you

Without wishing to sound too like an Oscar acceptance speech, it’s important for us to acknowledge some of the people who’ve helped us to get here. Firstly, we’d like to thank Tom Sawyer Software. They’re a great bunch of people to work with and have an awesome visualization platform. Without them we wouldn’t have been able to get this far, hence the title of the post. It’s only by standing on the shoulders of giants that we can see as far as we can.

Secondly, we’d like to thank our beta testers and the people that we demonstrated to for all of their great feedback and awesome ideas for different directions that we could take Hubscope in.

We’d also like to thank all our family and friends, who’ve supported and encouraged us, along with making countless cups of tea.

On a personal note, as I sit here in Anonymous Coffee in Prague listening to them playing Livin’ La Vida Loca (Living the Crazy Life), I’d also like to thank Remote Year for the inspiration to throw everything up in the air, and pursue the dream of living and working remotely. Travel is a great way to create the space to think big, change old ways of doing things and explore new ventures.

We know that it’s just one more step with a long journey ahead but sometimes it’s just good to stop and enjoy the view. Watch out for a post next week from Steve where he’ll let you know what the view is like from Wellington.
