Introduction to the 6 lifecycle stages
Take an end to end lifecycle perspective
There are opportunities to gather useful data about your Integration landscape at all six lifecycle stages. You just have to know where to look and what you are looking for:
Level 1 Detail is the businesses view of systems and dependencies;
Level 2 Detail is a more detailed application view including data flows; and
Level 3 Detail describes the component parts that support these applications and data flows such as servers, code, configurations, integration platform patterns and event logging mechanisms.
Make sure you start at Level 1 or Level 2 to avoid getting lost in the detail of Level 3 before a context can be established.
