Discovery usually ends as a document: a conclusion, in prose, answering the questions someone thought to ask on the day it was written. This ends as the material those conclusions were drawn from. That is why it is still worth opening long after the sprint is paid for.
It lands as structured data, not prose, so it goes into whatever language model your organisation already runs. Anyone can ask in the chat they already have open, and the answer comes back from what your own people confirmed.
One current state, with the name of the person who confirmed each part of it and the date they did. Disagreement lands on a system rather than in an email thread, and it lands on something both people can see.
Unowned systems, interim workarounds, the thing three people described three different ways. A document smooths those over to read well. Here they stay on the map, as the work they actually are.
We point the sprint at whatever you need answered. A transformation already under way, a business case you are still writing, or simply a current state nobody has been able to describe in one place. Tell us the question and we scope the estate around it, rather than mapping everything and leaving you to find your part of it.
We interview your people for about an hour each, scheduled around them, and what they tell us lands on the map instead of in a document. Validated means a named person confirmed it, and the map records who and when.
Sprints run from one week to eight. Four is the usual, and the one most delegations are sized for. If you are not sure which is yours, say so and we will size it with you.
